Hi Vinay,

If you are looking for colleges other than IITs, then you need to take up PGCET exam, which is the entrance exam for Mtech courses for colleges in karnataka, but if you have a GATE score along with PGCET score, it will be beneficial that you can get into any of the top colleges in karnataka.Because many colleges take GATE score as the 1st preference than PGCET score.Also, if you are interested in doing Mtech in NIT( suratkal) or any of the good atonomous institutions, then they will be having their own procedure and entrance exams.I am not sure about the cut-offs.So all the best to you
